Welcome to The Gallagher School of Irish Dancing! Our mission is to pass on the tradition of Irish Dance, teaching the basics of dance and the music it is danced to and to have fun while we learn. While competition is not the sole focus of our school, we prepare our students who wish to compete so that they can do so to the best of their ability. If a dancer chooses not to compete, we provide many

opportunities for them to utilize the skills they have learned by participating in ceilis and/or performances scheduled throughout the year.Learning Irish dance not only builds physical strength and muscle coordination, but also teaches students how to listen, focus and follow directions. Other benefits of Irish dance instruction are: increased flexibility, learning to think "on your feet", improved balance and posture, and of course, building lifelong friendships while having fun! The Gallagher School of Irish Dance was founded by Fedelmia Gallagher in 1992 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and provides the widest range of possibilities for students looking to develop their Irish dance skills. Our program caters to every level and age of dancer, from child to adult, beginners through Open Champions.
