“Kids Creative Art Workshop by Rashin Kheiriyeh and Niousha Panahi”

30 Morgh is a story of unity, peace, and love, reminding us that by coming together, we find strength and move forward.
Friday Jan 30, 2026 5:00PM to 7:30PM
Address: 121 E Buchanan Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004

During these difficult and emotional times, when stress and sorrow affect many of us, the Persian New Year Festival believes it is important to hold space not only for our children, but for families and our wider community.
This free creative art workshop invites children to listen to the story of The Conference of the Birds — a story rooted in love, unity, and hope, while creating their own artworks.
Parents and other adults are welcome to join the storytelling session, creating a shared moment of calm, reflection, and togetherness.

30 Morgh (The Conference of the Birds) is a timeless story about unity, peace, love, and the power of coming together. Through a shared journey, the birds discover that by supporting one another and moving forward as one, they can overcome challenges and find strength within themselves. This story reminds us that togetherness, understanding, and compassion help us grow and move toward hope, even in difficult times.

During this time of deep sorrow, as events in Iran continue to weigh heavily on our hearts, we invite you to join us for a peaceful candlelight vigil in remembrance of the lives lost.
This gathering offers a space for collective mourning, reflection, and human connection. Through shared light and gentle music, we come together to honor those who are no longer with us and to stand in quiet solidarity with their families and loved ones.
The evening will feature gentle artistic contributions by local and visiting artists, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere.
This event is non-political and non-religious, held with the intention of honoring human dignity and shared humanity.
Battery-operated candles will be provided.
For safety and consistency, please do not bring real candles.

My heart is with the people of Iran, with the families who have endured immeasurable loss, grief, and hardship. May dignity, humanity, and peace prevail.
The Persian New Year Festival was founded to celebrate the beauty, resilience, and depth of Iranian-American culture, and to create moments of connection across generations and communities.
Preserving and sharing culture, especially in times of tragedy, is a powerful act of remembrance, resilience, and unity. We chose Nowruz because it transcends politics and division. It is a celebration of renewal, hope, and beginning again with open hearts. Our silence is not indifference.
It is an intentional commitment to honoring culture without polarization. As an arts and culture nonprofit, our responsibility is to protect a space where heritage can be honored with dignity, reflection, and shared humanity.
History remembers cultures that continue to create, celebrate, and pass forward their traditions, even in the most difficult moments.
We remain steadfast in our purpose: to uplift beauty, resilience, and cultural connection, and to offer a space of unity and renewal for all.
