Our name stems from the Walter Project’s creation, Walter the Bus - a work of art that aims to inspire creative energy.

We capture that same energy by supporting and celebrating the work of unique and experimental artists. The name “Walter” stems from the Walter Project’s initial creation, Walter the Bus, the World’s Largest Volkswagen Bus. More than a massive replica of a VW Bus, Walter is a work of art that aims to inspire creative energy. The Walter Art Gallery aspires to capture that same energy by supporting a

nd celebrating the work of unique and experimental artists. The gallery also houses an adjacent studio space available for art students and others in need of creative space. Founded in 2012, the Walter Art Gallery is aimed at supporting the overall project as well as benefiting the many artists who display their works.

The gallery is taking a little pause until Third Friday🐝

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful artists who have shared their work with us in the Walter Art Gallery so far this year. We’re taking a short break to reset, refresh, and get ready to welcome back a familiar artist with a brand-new show!
