Runner-Runner Nuts vs. 2nd Nuts for Max Value!🤩

My last session was full of unbelievable hands, including some crazy coolers, and this is one of them!

Not much happens up until the river, where there is only ~$50 in the pot. We are heads-up.
The turn goes: Check, check.
On the river, UTG+1 bets $20.
I min-click it to $40 in position.
He 3-bets to $140.
I 4-bet to $360.
He 5-bet jams all in for $600!😲
I call with the absolute nuts: Straight to the Queen, vs. the second nuts: Straight to the Jack, win a $1.5k+ heads-up 2/3 pot, and stack a (really nice) player! What a sick river and unexpected turn of events!😃

The craziest part: This was the second cooler where I rivered the nut straight vs. second nut straight and stacked a player, on the same day! Unreal.😂

I don't post straight selfies of myself very often, but it can't hurt to do occasionally.😁 If you're reading this, I'd like to say thank you for being here and being a part of my life.🙏 It may not seem significant, but it means more to me than you'll probably ever know. I don't have an easy or comfortable life, so I make sure to magnify every positive aspect within it. I've gotten good at that, so I use social media to share that positivity with you.😊

Social media can heighten stress for anyone, but for me, it's a constant reminder of all the things I can't really do with all the people I don't see anymore. It's easier to shut myself off and keep everything calm, quiet, steady, and peaceful. Chaos, drama, negativity, hostility, stupidity, and ignorance aren't welcome in my life anymore. They do absolutely nothing for me so I choose to live without them.✌️

A smart poker player once told me that the quality of your followers matters, and I've taken that to heart. I'm not around people often, so when I am, I want them to be kind, reasonable, respectful, open-minded, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent, whenever possible. Your presence is a big bright light in my dim little world, whether you know it or not. So thank you. You are greatly appreciated! 🤗

I got so many gifts during my last poker session!😃 One player gave me THREE new poker Hot Wheels, including the lucky gold cat, and another Jack Van and King Van. Within the same minute, a dealer gave me a new mini panda holding a phone, just like me!😊 A few hours later, I won a new hoodie and hat for a promo from the casino, which I'll share more on soon.

I bring various "poker mobiles" (Jack Van, Queen Corvette, Shark Car, etc.) to lend to my opponents during cash games.🚗 These little cars instantly brighten the mood and change the dynamic. Players begin smiling, laughing, and telling jokes (often at my expense😆), playing with the cars, reminiscing about their childhood days, and they frequently run hot, and shove all in, with the cars on top of their stacks. It's fun, and I get little pics and clips for my various compilation reels.

Live poker is interesting because of all the different players, play styles, personalities, and the unique vibe they create. I greatly appreciate every kind word, action and gift, because it's always unexpected, and I make sure to pay it back to the people around me. I make a genuine effort to improve everyone's experience, even if I'm collecting their chips along the way, and vice versa.😁

♥︎ Despite ongoing hardships, I feel so lucky sometimes. The small, simple things mean everything to me.😊🙏

5 years ago, right after moving from NJ to AZ, I won my first Bad Beat Jackpot!😃 It was a big surprise because I'd never even seen one before. At the time, the qualifier was only Aces Full of Kings beat by anything better/Quads+ (I know!).

I had Pocket Kings, and I filled up on the turn when the third Ace came in. My opponent went all in, and I began considering folding my Boat. But I was startled when several players and dealers began acting funny, and suddenly, I realized that this might be a Bad Neat situation!😯

It felt very counterintuitive to call when I wanted to fold, but I did it anyway, and my opponent showed A6, Quad Aces! His 6 kicker was only valid because the other cards on the board were SO low (both hole cards must play). I flipped over Pocket Kings, and after a moment, the whole table erupted in ecstatic cheers. I was utterly flabbergasted!😄

As the loser of the hand, I received the biggest portion of the approximately $12k jackpot (not bad for a tiny poker room!). I was incredibly thankful, particularly because the timing couldn't have been any better. Moving cross-country solo isn't cheap!

You just never know what can happen in this game. You might feel discouraged because everything is falling apart all at once, and then boom, something amazing happens to remind you of why you put yourself through it in the first place.

You do it for the love of the game; to grow, challenge yourself, and become the strongest version of you. You meet like-minded people and share laughter, stories, and ideas. The good strongly outweighs the bad, as long as you remain steadfast when the going gets tough.💪

Over time, resilience, emotional intelligence, self-awareness, empathy, patience, self-confidence, and intuition become undeniable superpowers. There is ALWAYS more to gain and learn, as long as your mind stays open and focused, and your heart stays hungry and willing. That is what poker is all about!🤗

Pokey Gets Paid! With Jacks!🤩🐼💸

Even the dealers know that Pokey (my mascot) is a total chip magnet. They push the winning pots directly to him!😄 Going from an ornament on a Christmas tree in NJ to the front row seat to all the action makes this one lucky panda!😃🙌
