FOSSIL FEST 2026!!! 3:00 PM TODAY, our Curator of Paleontology and Lab Manager, Kris Super, will give a special presentation on the elasmosaur discovery and excavation, along with new updates from the preparation lab. We will also be offering informal lab and paleontology collections tours throughout the afternoon for anyone interested.

Looking ahead, Saturday June 13 is our free public speaker day. We will feature a full lineup of notable presentations beginning at 9:30 AM, along with a raffle of fun items and a fossil-themed game for attendees. Join us for coffee at 9:00 am and enjoy the 1979 Food Truck for lunch! Available from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Tomorrow, Friday June 12, marks the opening day of the first annual Western Kansas Fossil Fest.

All field tours are fully booked, but we have some free public events!

Eighty-two years ago, brave men landed on the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom. Today we remember their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to a cause greater than themselves.

We honor the heroes of D-Day. Their sacrifice echoes through every generation, reminding us that the freedoms we cherish were secured at an immeasurable cost. May we always carry their legacy forward with gratitude and humility.
