Mountain Jack’s Opry House is running behind projected schedule for March 2020 opening. So we are shooting for mid November 2020.
There is a lot that has to be done and we are working with designers and soon will be taking bids for a construction company to come in and clear the land, build the pad for the stage and to lay out the natural terraces for the setting area.
Here is a rough idea of the stage area.
These buildings in the drawing will be built according to some of the old buildings that was and still are part of Scotland’s History.

THE STAGE
The center one will be the stage and will be built according to the old Grover Hall Store. The stage will be 50’ long and 36’ deep and 3 1/2 tall. The Western Store Front that was the look of the Grover Hall Store will be the back of the stage so that when the entertainers are performing you will see the storefront. Behind the storefront, this building will have 4 rooms.
1 room will have 2 full bathrooms, 3 changing booths, 3 dressing tables with full length mirrors for entertainers to get ready for the show.
1 room for entertainers to be able to relax and hang out and eat.
1 room for rehearsal before the show.
1 room for VIP meet and greet/interviews

THE EMMONS DRUG STORE
The building to the left of the stage will be built according to the Emmons Drug Store. This building will be built on a 5 degree angle facing the stage and will be a functioning souvenirs shop for the entertainers to be able to set up their merchandise to sell and sign autographs and house a variety of other souvenirs and trinkets .

THE LINDSEY HOTEL
The building to the right of the stage will be built according to the old Lindsey hotel that once stood proud and tall in Scotland. This building will be built on a 10 degree angle facing the Stage so that the VIP Balcony area will be able to enjoy the show. This will be a 8 room fully functional hotel for entertainers and VIP guest to rent and stay the weekend. The upstairs balcony and the ground level balcony/porch will be only for VIP and Entertainers staying at the hotel.
The VIP balcony guest will be able to enjoy each of the shows as they sit relaxing in the comfort of the VIP Balcony and will be treated with 2 private waitresses/waiter staff that will take their order from the Country Kitchen Menu that will have a variety of food and drink orders.

The seating area will be 10’ wide level natural terraces cut into the side of the hill and will be sown in soft carpet grass so that viewers can either bring their lawn chairs or a blanket to lay down.
There will be proper steps up and down the amphitheater with handrails for safety.

There are still some touch ups to do to the drawing but this will give you an idea of what we are working towards. As you can see we have a lot of work ahead of us to get this ready for our first event.
Bear with us as we work hard and move forward with this project and in the meantime enjoy each of the Scotland Bonfires that will start on March 7 with an amazing opening lineup

There has been some confusion on the name of Mountain Jack's Dance Hall & Saloon.
So to avoid confusion and to save some troubles in the future we have decided to drop the Dance Hall & Saloon form the logo. Mountain Jack's will now be
Mountain Jack's Opry House
This will also make things easier if there should be Gospel concerts in the future.
Not many Gospel or Bluegrass events would take to kindly to Dance Hall & Saloon.

It sure is good to be home!!! I got home and seen all the hard work that Zachary Ramsey and Steve Huffman has been doing in the place while I was going and WOW!! I almost
Thought I was at the wrong place because it looked so good.
This week I will be marking the trees down in the holler that I want to keep for the Mountain Jack’s Dance Hall & Saloon. The rest of the trees will be cut. There is red oak, white oak post oak and it will make good fire wood if you known of anyone that needs fire wood. It is free but you have to cut it and haul it. Get with me and I will show you where to cut. I don’t want all that good wood to go to waste in a dozer pile to be burnt.
