I’m often asked if Theatrical Artist’s Prep offers classes for adults—and the answer is YES!

Our Adult Acting & Improv class in partnership with Scotch Plains, NJ Parks & Rec begins tonight, and we still have room for a few more participants.

This fun, supportive 4-week session is perfect for:
🎭 Adults curious about acting or improv
🎭 Former performers looking to get back into the arts
🎭 Professionals wanting to build confidence and communication skills
🎭 Anyone looking to laugh, meet new people, and try something new this summer

No experience is necessary. No memorization. No pressure. Just a welcoming environment where you’ll learn the fundamentals of improv through games, storytelling, character work, and scene exercises.

Lights, camera, action!

Join us for a fun and fast-paced 2-Day TV & Film Focus Camp designed for young performers ages 8–12 who are ready to build confidence in front of the camera. Students will explore the fundamentals of on-camera acting through engaging exercises, commercial copy, scene work, improv games, and mock auditions in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Throughout the camp, performers will learn how acting for TV and film differs from stage acting while developing important skills like listening, reacting naturally, making strong choices, and taking direction. Whether your child is brand new to acting or already loves performing, this camp is designed to help them grow, create, and have fun on camera!

This special intensive will be led by TAP's new team member, Samantha Simone, a NJ-based actor, producer, and college professor. Samantha’s television credits include CBS’s Blue Bloods and FBI. She is also the leading actress in the independent feature films Townhouse Confidential (currently streaming) and Jersey Birdies (coming soon). In addition to her professional acting career, Samantha teaches acting at Rider University, Ramapo College, and Bergen Community College.

No experience necessary — just bring your imagination and willingness to play!

That’s a wrap on Newsies Jr.!

What a beautiful, unforgettable run. We couldn’t be more proud of this incredible cast for the talent, heart, courage, and teamwork they brought to the stage each and every day.

From the first rehearsal to the final bow, you grew not only as performers, but as leaders, teammates, and storytellers. Thank you for sharing your voices, your energy, and your passion with our audiences.

Take a moment to be proud of what you accomplished. The set has come down, the costumes are packed away, but the memories, friendships, and lessons from this journey will stay with us for a very long time.

Congratulations, Newsies. You made us all proud. ❤️

A little glimpse of Benjamin as Jack Kelly in Newsies Jr.

Watching Benjamin grow throughout this process has been a joy. Not only has he risen to the challenge of leading this production on stage, but he’s also led by example off stage with kindness, focus, and a willingness to support his fellow castmates.

We’re incredibly proud of the performers and young leaders our students continue to become. continue to raise the bar and hold each other accountable, Folks.
