Flashback (2 weeks) when we had a wildly successful scholarship-funding cabaret and fun summer drinks!

Let's do it again sometime. 🥳

This is the first design element (designed by Brittany Hamilton) to be revealed related to our production of "They're Playing Our Song" by Neil Simon. - SCT's fall musical with auditions THIS WEEKEND!

If you sing and act, come audition!
If you don't, come TO auditions to meet us and start your journey on our production crew.

If you can't do either of those things -- simply save the dates of Oct 23, 24, 25 to attend the show.

There is something in community theater for everyone.

They’re Playing Our Song is a 1979 musical with a book by Neil Simon, Music by Marvin Hamlisch, and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, based on the real-life Relationship between Hamlisch and Sager.

The show follows an established composer (Vernon) and an aspiring lyricist (Sonia) as they navigate a romantic and professional relationship, with a singing and dancing chorus of 3 male presenting actors & 3 female presenting actors as the physical representation of their inner thoughts and conflicts.

Off stage, we will also need help with promotion, box office, set building, hospitality ... all the things!

🎭 Thank you, Schuylerville and other surrounding neighbors!

Last night was about more than one cabaret.

It was about people coming together to create something, share something, and support something that belongs to all of us.

To everyone who performed, volunteered, donated, attended, bid in the auction, enjoyed the lemonade, bought a ticket, shared a post, or simply cheered us on — thank you. ❤️

But here's the thing about community theater:

The curtain may come down on one show, but the work doesn't stop.

There are always future productions to plan, costumes to create, sets to build, performers to support, and new audiences to welcome.

And that's where you come in.

You don't have to be onstage to be part of community theater. You can come to a show. Bring a friend. Volunteer. Donate. Share our posts. Tell someone about us.

Every bit of support helps keep the stage lights on. 🎭

So if you've ever thought, "I'd love to see more live theater right here in our community," this is your invitation.

Come be part of it.

And if you weren't at last night's cabaret, don't worry — we're just getting started.

Thank you for believing in local theater.
Thank you for showing up.
And thank you for being part of the community that makes it possible. ❤️
