DANCE STARTS TOMORROW! The 2019/20 dance season kicks off tomorrow - studio doors will open around 4 pm. We are so excited to celebrate 50 years of “...dancing at its best!” with each and every one of you.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. Thank you to the dancers for giving your all today and thank you to the moms and dads for all your help and support.

I can honestly say that in the 13 years I have been the “captain” at the wheel of this recital ship 🛳 this year’s sailing was exceptionally smooth. Thank you to my first mate and skipper, Angela and Kelsee, for being the most amazing ship mates. We have seen our fair share of icebergs in our time together, yet we prevail - this is a testament to the quality of our team.

I am overwhelmed and just so filled with joy. The feedback I received from this year’s show has never been more positive and reafirming that WE; the dancers, the families and the teachers, are what make JPDS “...dancing at its best!”

I am looking forward to celebrating the 50th in style - with the best dance family in the world!

Saturday May 18th - Recital day updates/highlights:
9:30 am - arrival/check in at UW MC
10 am - Dress rehearsal begins
1130 am - Potluck lunch
1230 pm - Doors Open
1 pm - Show!

Reminders:

All bills must be paid in full this week. Failure to pay prior to the recital will result in your dancer not being allowed to dance in the recital. Please reach out if you need special arrangements.

Dress rehearsal means full costume and makeup. Please come prepared for your first dance.

No one outside of staff will be allowed in the theater during dress rehearsal. Please drop your dancer off or plan to stay in the back of house in the green room during rehearsal.

Dancers will NOT be allowed to leave between rehearsal and showtime. Lunch will be provided or plan for special dietary needs.

It is general seating, which means first come, first serve. Doors open at 1230. There will be no seat saving prior to this time, no exceptions.

Everyone is responsible for strike and clean up. Parents will pick up their dancers backstage and make sure that their dancers assigned room is clean.
