Dance family, please join me in celebrating the life of John Stewart. John had been a fellow dancer for many, many years. He was a kind gentleman to all who knew him. I trust he is happy to be in the arms of his favorite partner, his beloved late wife Rita.

Rest in peace, John. Thank you for the dances, thank you for the memories. You are missed already.

John Irwin Stewart age 91 of Lansing, Illinois passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. He was born August 27, 1930 in Galt Ontario Canada. Thinking of you all today, with a heavy heart knowing so many of you are still working (a few working overtime, at that). You must be tired, you must be concerned about exposure, and you must be longing to be home with your loved ones.

As a fellow "essential" worker, I am with you and praying you stay safe and healthy. Thank you is inadequate, but your work and sacrifices are appreciated. We are in this together! Blessings over you and yours. 🙏🏽

My fellow dance lovers, the CDC is now recommending gatherings of no more than 10 people due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). For that reason, I will not be teaching for the next two weeks and encourage you to stay home unless leaving is essential.

If there is one thing we know as dancers, it's that TIMING IS EVERYTHING! This is a time to be proactive, practical, and sensitive to the needs of others. We don't want to knowingly or unknowingly put anyone at risk. We will dance again, but for now, please stay home and stay safe!
