Art Night on Barrett Street! Much ❤️ to our cozy winebar neighbor, Toni's, and a great shot by our volunteer Sue who captured the Friday night Art Night vibes. Whether you are an artist, collector, or someone who doesn't know anything about fine art Printmaking but would love to learn more, come visit! We even give personal tours through our winding galleries. We will continue to be open first Thursday evenings, as well as third Thursday and Friday evenings throughout 2026.

Sneak preview of a previously un-exhibited print from the collection 👀 We are currently reviewing our Japanese prints from the permanent collection for our upcoming 2026 exhibit at the museum (this one is a Utagawa Hiroshige woodblock, Returning Sails at Yabase)

Happy March thaw! If we missed you in February because of the weather, we are open this Thursday and Friday evening (Friday for Art Night Schenectady). We have a new display of prints by Jamie Wyeth on exhibit, and it's a great time to also pick up your 2026 presentation print. See you soon 😎

A long overdue post announcing our 2026 Presentation Print: Classic Kimono by Katsunori Hamanishi! It is a stunning mezzotint, printed in an edition of 100 for the Print Club of Albany. Katsunori Hamanishi is one of the foremost contemporary mezzotint artists. With rich values and color, this year's print is undoubtedly one of our finest. It is now on display in the main gallery of the Museum, and the colophon (artist's statement & detailed information) will be live on our website this week.

Come by Thursday evening during our open hours, or during Art Night Schenectady to see it in person!

This weekend was the first ever Print Makers Guild of NY Print Fair in Troy! We had a great time getting the word out about our 2025 presentation print, and even opened up the museum Sunday afternoon for some pop-up hours so interested visitors could stop by for a tour of the permanent collection after the fair wrapped up. Thank you Rachel, the volunteers of PGNY, our volunteers for the Print Club, and of course Sue (suephotography.com) for all your photos!! And a big thanks to everyone stopping by our booth to chat, learn about us, and maybe even shop our back catalog. We even got to connect with our... Comrades? Friends? Competitors (kidding)? from the Print Club of Rochester 😁

If you didn't get to stop by the Museum on Sunday, our next open hours are November 6 & 20th from 4-7 PM, or on Friday, November 21st from 4-8 PM! See you there.

Sarurday and Sunday, in case you missed it! The PGNY Print Fair will be held at the Troy Atrium and is open to the public-- for more details.

Come join us, there will be dozens of print artists (and two print clubs!) in attendance.

Check out our fall mini fundraiser! You can enter to win this lovely painting by Linda Le Kinff, drawing will be on December 1st. $10 to enter, or three chances for $25! Participate by stopping by the Museum for your ticket during art night Schenectady, or one of our open Thursdays this fall.

Some of our recent visitors may already know, but we set aside a corner in our back left gallery to hang a few of our duplicate prints for sale that are pre-framed! Selling these opens up more storage space for us (framed prints of course take up far more space in our store rooms). Stop by the Museum this summer if you are interested in clearing our walls!✨
