Sun on my skin.
Warmth in my soul.
A little stillness.
A whole lot of gratitude.

Letting the sun remind me: I am here. I am alive. I am worthy of basking in my own light. ☀️

Last Day.

We spend so much time assuming there will be another conversation, another visit, another chance to say what matters.

Sometimes there is.
Sometimes there isn't.

This poem is simply a reminder to love out loud while you still can. Say the words. Take the chance. Let the people who matter to you know exactly where they stand in your heart.

If this poem resonates with you, I'd love for you to like and follow JCrue Poetry. This page isn't just about loss. It's about the full range of what it means to be human: joy, love, lust, grief, healing, hope, resilience, and everything in between.

There's more to me, and to my poetry, than a first glance.

What does your love feel like?
