So for the past few days, I’ve been setting up and painting in the backyard in my garden. It’s getting chillier out early this year. I hear all this nonsense about global warming, but I do believe our seasons have shifted a little bit. This is normally the hottest part of the year, and it just feels like it’s early fall.
So it’s campfire season had a nice one last night for a little bit. I’m gonna pick up a stack of wood for the fall season I think.
The garden is looking absolutely amazing and when I get things set up in the morning, I’ll take some fresh pictures and I’ll keep you up-to-date on this painting it’s the first one I picked up the brushes for in the past 6 1/2 months.
Don’t judge it’s in the beginning stages I usually call this the zombie stage because they all kinda look like zombies in this stage to me 🤣🤣🤣
Oil paintings traditionally are done in stages
Im using a gallery canvas with wide edges and doing this in true traditional fashion using earth tones for warmth in the under layering
This is an in memory of tripple portrait
