Local Canvas

Installed today 🤍 Three pieces, one very happy wall.

Loved helping our client bring this room together—from choosing the artwork to getting each piece in just the right spot.

Have a blank wall you’ve been meaning to fill? Send me a photo. Let’s find something you love.

Same piece. Different energy.

Proof that good art doesn’t need to match the room — it changes it.

1, 2 or 3?

Sometimes the perfect piece isn’t already in front of you and you have to go find it.

A big part of what I do through Local Canvas is source art across different galleries, artists and collections based on what a client is looking for. This piece came from Axiom Gallery, and I loved collaborating with them to find something that felt exactly right for the space.

I work with so many incredible local artists, but the goal is always the same: finding the right piece for the right client. And if I don’t already have it, I’ll go find it.

That’s the fun part.

A few of the pieces I helped place with clients at the Affordable Art Fair ✨

One of my favorite parts of the fair is walking it with clients, narrowing down the hundreds of works on view, and finding the pieces that feel right for their homes and spaces.

Here are a few that found their place this week.

Every artist we represent is someone we’ve sat with — in a studio, over coffee, usually both.
That’s not a marketing line, it’s just how a local gallery works. The work on our walls came from people we know, and when you ask us about a piece, we’re not reading you a label. We’re telling you what the artist told us.
Swipe through. Then let’s go see it in person. 🤍

Collected, not decorated. I’ve always found it interesting that people will spend months choosing a sofa, but often treat art as an afterthought.

The funny thing is, art is what gives a home personality. It’s the piece people ask about. The thing that makes a room feel like yours.

One of my favorite parts of Local Canvas is helping people discover original work they connect with—often from artists right here in our community.

One of the questions I hear most often is:

“How do I know what art is right?”

My answer is always the same: start with the piece that makes you pause.

Not the one that matches the sofa.
Not the one everyone else has.
The one you keep thinking about.

The best rooms aren’t built around trends. They’re built around pieces that tell a story.

This is why I started Local Canvas—to connect people with original work from talented local artists and help them find pieces they’ll love living with every day.

What’s one room in your home that’s still waiting for the right piece of art?
