The Rivers Edge Arts Society is a 501c3 non-profit group of artists and non-artists who support the arts. It is our mission to promote the arts, arts education and arts tourism in western Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Our goals are to provide a unique space for artists and fine crafters of all mediums to display and market their work, to provide opportunities for the arts education for adults an

d children, to promote events in the performing arts, and to attract tourists and tourism dollars. We welcome all donations to the organization. They are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We have a yearly donation campaign drive in December but welcome contributions at any time.

We appreciated Lisa Branson coming Saturday and leading another barn quilt class. The ladies turned out some really pretty designs, even the first-timers! We will be scheduling more classes this fall. Watch for them and join us. We also invite those who might have some barn quilts for sale (or just show off) to join us on the Shortgrass Country Museum grounds Saturday morning, July 18, 9-Noon, during the Dust Bowl Days activities in Sayre. We will have some children's activities, barn quilt patterns and ideas for those wanting to learn more about making barn quilts.
