I’m not sure where the time went, but watching Emma grow has been one of the greatest privileges.
I remember when she first came to the farm. She was absolutely terrified to trot on her own. Taking a hand off the horn? Not happening. Sitting up straight instead of hunching over like a little shrimp? A work in progress. And cantering? That usually came with tears, panic, and a very firm “NOPE.”
Fast forward just a little over a year, and last night she swung a leg over Rooster my Kentucky Derby contender 😂 and rode him like it was no big deal.
The confidence, determination, and grit she’s developed have been incredible to watch. This is not the same little girl who first pulled into the driveway, and I couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come.
Emma, never forget how brave you are. Every scary thing you’ve pushed through got you to this moment. Creating confident, gritty riders child by child.😎
Now if you could stop growing up, that’d be great. 🥹❤️
