Wonder what it is like to ride in a fire engine during Saxonburg’s Fireman’s Parade? Here’s your 1/50 chance! It is a cool experience for kid or adults of any age. (An adult must chaperone any group with persons under 16 years of age.)

Saxonburg VFC is raffling off a chance to win a ride-along for 4 people in the historic (95th-year) Saxonburg Fireman’s Parade on Thursday, June 25, during Carnival week!!!

Ride-along is for 4 people in one of Saxonburg’s fire trucks, which travel at the front of the parade. Participants must be available from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and able to climb in/out of a (steep) truck cab. Seat belts are required while vehicles are in motion. No food or beverages are permitted in the vehicles - water is okay, the truck also carries 1000+ gallons of it. Ride may be disrupted in the event of an emergency.

Winner will be provided detailed instructions on where/when to meet. Please note traffic restrictions: Main Street, Water Street and all cross streets will close at 5p. Parking is recommended in the Fire Company main lot on Horne Ave.

Balloon ride is for 2 people. Time, date and location are to be coordinated by the raffle winner in conjunction with the balloon operator, Commercial Balloon Pilot Gary Hughes, and are dependent on weather conditions. In general, balloon launches/lands in the (early) morning hours at locations in Southern Butler County. Wind direction, climatic conditions and safe landing areas will determine the direction and duration of the ride.

Participants must be comfortable standing for an extended period of time and able to traverse moderate terrain.

Package includes a $100 Gift Certificate for wine or dining at La Vigneta Winery, 352 N. Pike Road, Sarver, PA.
