an unexpected morning but hey - choosing to see a little good in it!

This song is called “Missing” and it’s about being in a place of longing for the Lord but not feeling quite settled yet. I’ve found myself in this place fairly often in the past few years of my life: in between feeling far from God and right by his side, but knowing he has a plan to bring me to closeness with him once again.

Feeling grateful to get to write and share the in between moments as much as the certainly good ones 🌻

I couldn’t wait to share another set of photos 🌸

The other day I told my mom that taking this camera out to my uncle’s house made me feel like a kid again.

When I was around 7 or 8, I had a little pink digital camera that went everywhere with me. I photographed anything and everything I could find, but my favorite thing was running around my uncle’s land taking pictures of every. single. flower.

Needless to say, taking these photos brought back a lot of nostalgia and reminded me of that creative little girl who saw beauty in everything 🙃💐

new camera intro post 📷✨

I got surprised with an early birthday gift 🥹 (thanks Drew Williams )

so naturally, I had to take it out for a test run ASAP. I’m still learning a ton, but starting with film photography has taught me so much about light and metering that I probably would’ve missed if I jumped straight into digital

these yellow daylilies were way too pretty to pass up 🌼💛
