The Foley House Inn in Savannah has a macabre memoir. Mrs. Foley ran the inn alone after her husband passed away. One male guest tried to take his advances to the next level and ended up with a candlestick to the head killing him. In a panic, Mrs. Foley had a friend help her hide the body in the wall. She confessed on her deathbed in 1914, but no one believed her until they were renovating in the 1980s and did find a skeleton in the walls.
This is just one of the spine-chilling sites that have been meticulously recreated inside of The Haunted Savannah. If you listen closely, you’ll hear the knocking in the walls as if someone is trying to escape.
