Hey Cinerealites! Another job posting for bar staff in our new Downtown LA venue. We’re hosting an open call this Thursday 6/16 10am-2pm. Looking for bartenders, barbacks, and servers. If interested please fill out the google form link in our story!

About CLUB BABALU:

Best described as an immersive burlesque variety show, CLUB BABALU will be the first long-running experience of its kind in Los Angeles. Set in 1957, aesthetically, the show blends Golden Age Hollywood glamor and the passion of Havana Nights. Featuring classic Hollywood vibes, hints of modern dance, specialty acts such as pole and aerial, as well as cheeky slapstick comedy, the show has deep roots in Cuban culture through the infusion of ballroom, latin beats, and nods to the Orishas of Santeria. The audience is transported in time as we immerse them in a 1950’s sound stage atmosphere inspired by and paying homage to classic sitcom sets, and highlighting the tones of famed supper clubs like Cocoanut Grove and the Tropicana Club. The audience act as ‘extras’ on the set of Club Babalu’s soundstage, which centers the audience within the story, ultimately engaging them beyond traditional proscenium theater while still allowing them to relax and let loose.

"To the Celestial Dust from whence we came and to which we will return... We are magic."

Three years ago today, we premiered Hand Of Mystery, a private bespoke event inspired by ancient mystery schools. Guests were cloaked upon entering the space, then enjoyed the ambience of an indoor thunderstorm over a beautiful three course dinner. The evening also included Tarot readings, Aura photography, and spoken word poetry. A magical evening, indeed! 🧙
