The pool season is almost here! We will be opening the pool this Friday, and here is a quick video that I put together to freshen everyone up on how to get in, and what some of the rules are.

Come enjoy the long holiday weekend here at the pool at Grand Lake Club! Our holiday hours will be:

Thursday and Friday 10am-9pm
Saturday (Movie Night) 10am-10:30pm
Sunday 11am-8pm

Thursday night we will have a small fireworks display around 8:30.

Saturday night we will have live music from 6-8pm, and then we will watch Jaws on our 20’ screen by the pool!

We will be offering a very basic mixed drink program. You can choose Tito’s, Crown, or Gin, and it can be mixed with tonic, club soda, pineapple, cranberry, oj, coke or sprite. We will also have cut lemon or lime. We need to keep it simple for now, so please be patient and understand that this is what we have on the menu.

We will be enforcing the 4 guest maximum. Please make sure to have them sign the safety waiver on our website, and bring them straight to the Tiki bar to get signed in when they arrive.

Registration for the pool at Grand Lake Club is now open again to the public! We sold out of our initial membership offering, but we have now determined that there is room for more members to comfortably join.

The resort-style pool at Grand Lake Club is now fully renovated with new plaster, all new furniture, and a brand new fully renovated tiki bar. The landscaping is second to none, and our all new adults only chill zone features in-pool tables, umbrellas, and seating, as well as bar service that comes around every 20 minutes. Preregistration for the All New Grand Lake Pool Is Now Open:

We’ve finishing up some incredible improvements. All of the pool furniture will be brand new, and we are adding a bunch of additional seating, tables, and stools to the pool area. The pool will be completely replastered, and we have reconfigured two of the swim lanes into a new social area with tons of built-in seating, in-pool tables, umbrellas, and a new step entry closest to the clubhouse. This will give adults the option to be down in a calm, splash-free area, while creating additional much-needed room for parents and young children down in the “sweet spot” area of the beach entry. We also increased the existing built-in seating by about 100% on each side of the shallow end.

We are currently working on a point of sale system for the restaurant that will allow you to order and pay for food and drinks right from your phone, and, staff permitting, have it delivered right to you. The new 815 Bistro will offer great options for lunch and dinner by the pool.

Our new automated gate access and billing system will make entry and payments seamless. You will be able to use an app on your phone, or a key fob to enter directly into the pool during operating hours. No more walking through a cold building to get to the pool.

We have often been compared to a neighboring club with similar offerings. We took quite a bit of time and considered what the other similar choices in this area cost. We heavily reduced our sign-up fee to $500 (though this is likely to increase next season) and aggressively priced our monthly dues :


Single membership - $50 per month for 1 year
Couple Membership - $85 per month for 1 year
Family Membership - $135 per month for 1 year

* All pool memberships require a $500 sign-up fee. (That’s half of what our lowest price competitor charges.)

* Combined Gym / Pool memberships will be discounted to $100 per month / $160 per month / $210 per month respectively for 1 year.

* Founding members will have their rates locked in for three years.

Members will receive the following additional member benefits:

- Free guest passes (single 4, couple 8, family 12, and 50% discount on day passes).

- Extended pool hours with early access on high demand days.

- Discount on poolside party pavilion rentals.

- Early registration access to all club ticketed events.

We are shooting for a May 1st opening date (dependent on the new pool furniture being delivered), and we will keep the pool open until at least Sept 2nd. As you may know, things got really packed last season, and we anticipate that the demand will grow with all of these great improvements. It is possible that we will have to limit the number of memberships that are available. We do not have the official registration setup yet, but you can get on the preregistration list right now by going to GrandLakeClub.com/pool-registration

We will suspend preregistration at 200 households to evaluate the capacity of the facility. We are at around 80 households now, so if you want a membership, then make sure to preregister right now.

The Big 24 Hour Gym Update: I feel like we have ironed out just about every little issue in the gym software, and now we are pretty much smooth sailing. Our new software system allows you to use your phone to enter the right side door of the building 24 hours a day. We have 112 members right now, and it feels like there is plenty of room to add a few more. I'm going to open registration back up until we hit 150 members. It will be on a first come, first serve. We will close registration again and reevaluate things when we hit that number. The last thing that we want is a clogged up gym where you constantly have to wait.

We have replaced accessories, mats, bars, and medicine balls. We are also working on a plan to slowly but surly replace some of the oldest equipment as time goes on and revenue streams in.

On a personal note, I have been working out for about three weeks straight now. I find this gym to be an absolute pleasure to come to. It's really nice to be a part of the community again. I enjoy looking around and seeing all of the friendly familiar faces, and I've made a bunch of new friends as well.
