Abeni Cultural Arts Performing Dance Studio Temporary Location: 822 Derenne Ave. SAVANNAH, GA. / [email protected] 912.631.3452 912.272.2797 It means "we asked for her, and she is ours".

Abeni Cultural Arts founded on April 1, 2006 in Savannah, Ga. The word Abeni hails from the West African country of Nigeria. It is with that intention, to own one's talent, that the Savannah based arts organization, Abeni Cultural Arts was founded. Abeni is dedicated to encouraging artists to reach their fullest potential in their chosen field. Abeni's Mission is to encourage artists of various ge

nres to nurture and challenge their passion for their art. We do this by fostering the creation of engaging, meaningful, and culturally significant programs. Abeni believes that it is essential to establish an atmosphere in which students and instructors have artistic choices, share in the artistic process, and learn the value of artistic expression. Dance is the primary art form on which Abeni draws its inspiration. Drama, visual arts, music, and voice are also integrated into its makeup. Collaborations with fellow artists and other special projects are implemented in an effort to bring similar organizations together in order to accomplish one goal: to embrace the fact that we are different, yet the same. Abeni Cultural Arts has been under the Artistic Direction of Muriel Miller & Managed by Darowe J. McMillon, since 2006. Dance Classes available for ages 3 - adult in modern, African, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, gospel, and tap. You can also sign up for guitar and voice lessons.

WE'RE ACCEPTING DONATIONS!

Now that we have achieved non-profit status, we are asking for donations to help fund our two shows that we're bringing to the community this year. The first show, LEGENDS OF SOUL is at the end of October. It's a musical r***e honoring the legends of yesterday and today. The second show is our production of Black Nativity, which we have performed pre-Covid for 10 years straight. This will be our first time back since the pandemic. We would like to make these productions as professional as possible, and we need your help. Please consider donating today via the link provided or by sending it to our CashApp: $PACSavannah

Thank you in advance!
