The Savannah Theater is a community theater venue owned and operated by the City of Savannah, Tennessee. The purpose of this Page is to serve as a mechanism for communication between the City of Savannah and its citizens/customers and all postings are subject to review and deletion by the City of Savannah, to the extent permitted by law. This Page is considered a “limited forum” that exists where

the City of Savannah makes its property generally available. The City of Savannah may regulate private commentary unrelated to its content through reasonable time, place and manner restrictions. If a person makes a comment outside the purview of the topic, the City of Savannah can restrict the speech if the restriction is both reasonable and viewpoint neutral. c. Contains personal information about another person or violates a person’s privacy;

d. Sexual content or links to sexual content;

e. Solicitations of commerce or advertisements;

f. Encouragement of illegal conduct, incitement of violence, or harassment;

g. Links to third party sites and platforms; or

h. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party

i. Spam defined as repeatedly posting the same or similar comment in a way that objectively interferes with the public dialog.

DreamWeavers will be auditioning for their Fall production of Deadline on Friday, September 6th at 7 PM and Saturday, September 7th at 10 AM at the Historic Savannah Theater.
A murder mystery comedy, Deadline has a story line with many twists and turns, humorous characters and lots of action.
The play begins with eight mystery writers arriving at a legendary writer's fog-shrouded island mansion in the North Atlantic. They think they're ready for the Deadline Challenge -- twenty-four restful hours to write as much of their new novel as possible. But the Deadline Challenge is anything but restful.

In reality, the writers are brought together to solve a murder -- the victim yet to be determined, and the killer yet to strike. If a writer can design and execute a perfect murder and get away with it, they'll win a million dollars (which is a lot of money for a writer). Who will live? Who will die? Who will survive the Deadline?

There are roles: for 3 men, 6 women, 4 either

DELLACROIX (M or F) - the host, dapper
BELLA (M or F) - the barista
MEYERS (F) - an elderly boat captain
MORRIS (M or F) - completer of odd jobs, loud
NORRIS (M or F) - completer of even jobs, irritated
PENELOPE BAIN (F) - a social media star, just having written her first book
DEBORAH HASTINGS (F) - part of the Hastings husband-wife team
GREGORY HASTINGS (M) - her husband, kind of a do**us
CARSWELL CHALMERS (M) - a former pulp novelist of noir mysteries
VAMPETTA (F) - the gothic Queen of murder mysteries
BRENDA (F) - a mystery
ZAK (M) - the student of a famous novelist, a bro
JENNIFER MILAM (F) - southern, the writer of self-published cozy mysteries

All roles are available.

​Come join us for a comedy with lots of style! The legend of The Sword in the Stone is rich with adventure, magic, heroes, and villains. In The Absolutely True Story of King Arthur, you’ll adore a large number of roles and a heaping serving of Spamalot! style humor. No experience is required to audition. Simply come to the theater and sign up!

Parental/Guardian signature is required if you are under 18. Plan to come by early to fill out the audition forms as the auditions will start promptly on time.

Open to children in grades 2 - 5.
No experience is necessary in order to audition.

Show Dates are March 15, 16 & 17, 2024.
Rehearsals are held from 4 to 6 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Historic Savannah Theater.

Parent/Guardian signatures are required in order to audition so please come early to complete your paperwork. Auditions will begin promptly as scheduled. :)
