✨ A Legacy in Motion ✨
In July 2010, three visionaries — Clinton D. Powell, Gary Swindell Sr., and myself (Muriel Miller) — decided to bring our three individual companies together to form the Performing Arts Collective of Savannah, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring, educating, and uniting our community through the arts.
One of our most cherished productions is Black Nativity, originally created by Langston Hughes. We began producing it to stand as a holiday tradition for Savannah — something that could be passed down through generations, just like The Nutcracker, but with our own stories, rhythms, and heritage at its core.
As Artistic Director, I oversee every detail — choreography, marketing, costumes, media, and more — because each element helps tell a story that matters. And year after year, audiences fill the room with joy, music, and praise.
This year, we’re raising money to ensure Black Nativity 2025 is our most vibrant production yet. As a nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible — and every gift, no matter the size, brings us closer to lifting the curtain on another unforgettable season.
