When we lived in the North Carolina mountains, we lived near Cataloochee Valley. It's an old town that was taken in as part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The state brought in a herd of elk from Colorado and they have multiplied. This is one of these pieces I did of a few elk grazing in the fall.

I did this ornament last year for a friend from a photo of her grandchildren. Also painted some of the oyster shells she saved for me.
