Today's progress, cantle back dyed, finished and glued in place. I chose a set of Brooks silver conchos for the saddle, and a cantle concho will go in the blank circle spot. Don't worry, I haven't trimmed down the excess off the cantle, it's not that high 😂.

I've been quietly busy working out the details for my first saddle build. It's a square skirt Wade on a mammoth donkey tree from Steele. Horn is on, working on the cantle back this afternoon. It's going to be a fully tooled in an oak leaf and acorn pattern. If you can't find a saddle to fit your animal, learn how to make one... Right??? 🤔😅😂
