John St Jam

John St Jam The John St. Jam returns to Saugerties at the beautiful Orpheum Theater on Main Street. One round, four musicians. And it's still only $5!

Musical styles range from folk to blues, from rock to ragtime. We're no longer quite in the round, but it will still be about as intimate as possible.

The John Street Jam has closed its doors.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the latest iteration of the Hudson Valley's most intimate litening room.

Thanks to the outstanding musicians who entertained, to the audience members who showed their appreciation for live music month after month, to The Local -- Danny and Isabel -- who included us in their vision for great live entertainment in Saugerties. Your contributions will never be forgotten.

Thank you,
Terri and Steve

This Friday -- first Friday -- is the final Sunset Show of 2025. Due to diminishing daylight, we will bring our joyful noise to the Old Dutch Barn behind the Kiersted House on Main St. We have the always-amazing Dorraine Scofield and the Tall Troubadour himself, Don Sparks. Music starts at 6:30, rain or shine.

As the pink and red of Valentine's Day give way to the green of St. Pat's, we're reminded that every holiday has a color, every season a theme. If summer is pastels with a splash of red, white and blue, then fall is surely the bright orange of the leaves and pumpkins. One thing in this color wheel remains constant, one thing doesn't change with the seasons: The John St. Jam. Music has no color and all colors at once. Music is both visual and invisible, a paradox of the senses that one can both see and feel but only hear. You can't touch it, but it can touch you.

Just as the cold yields to the sun, just as the winter white changes to the rainbows of spring, so does the barren landscape of silence yield to the dulcet tones of song.

Join us on March 14th as we paint your mind's canvas with sound and words, with all the feelings of song and all the colors of music.

Some dope (me), for some reason (hopped up on goofballs, no doubt), set the time of this show at 12AM. No, sorry, it starts at 7:00PM. Hope this doesn't inconvenience all you night owls who were hoping for a midnight music event.
Doors open at 6:00PM. Please come anyway.

Our good friend Davey O. is doing a rare concert in our area. Come join us at the Muse in Rosendale on Saturday, November 9th, at 7:00PM

This promises to be a great show in a beautiful new music venue.
