This Garlic Didn’t Have to Travel Far

While some of our garlic growers travel hundreds of miles to join us, Gipperts Farm is coming from right here in Saugerties.

This sixth-generation farm grows garlic organically, along with fresh produce and beautiful floral bouquets — and they’ll be joining us at the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival.

There’s something especially nice about coming to the festival and taking home garlic that was grown just down the road from Cantine Field.

Stop by Gipperts Farm, meet some of our local growers and celebrate a little homegrown Saugerties agriculture.

Wow! Only three weeks until we start setting up for the 2026 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival held at Cantine Field in Saugerties on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th. Go to HVGF.org for more info and to purchase advance tickets on line.

Did you know you can also buy advance discount tickets at all Adams Fairacre Farm stores (Kingston, Newburgh, Wappingers Falls, MIddletown and Poughkeepsie), all branches of Sawyer Savings Bank (Saugerties, Marlboro, Highland and New Paltz), Smith Hardware and M&T Bank both on Main Street in Saugerties.

Adult tickets are $10.00 and Seniors (65and over) $8.00. Advance ticket sales end at 5 pm on September 25th so grab yours now! Entrance fee at the gate for all is $15.00 (children under 12 get in for free).

Grandpa Pete’s Sunday Sauce brings a treasured Sicilian family tradition from Catskill, New York, straight to your dinner table. Grandpa Pete learned his recipes from his mother and grandmother, and today his son Charlie and family carry on the tradition with sauces prepared in small batches using all-natural ingredients.

The HVGF has been named one of America’s five “uniquely quirky” fall festivals—and honestly, we’ve never been prouder to be quirky. When more than 30,000 garlic lovers, 250+ vendors and 50+ growers gather to celebrate the stinking rose, people notice.

Congratulations to the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties, our extraordinary volunteers, growers, vendors, entertainers and the entire community that makes this festival possible. You’ve helped turn a hometown harvest celebration into a nationally recognized tradition—and raised money for children and community programs along the way.

At Northeast Corner Herb Farm, garlic isn’t limited to the kitchen.

They’ll be bringing their garlic braids and culinary herbal braids to the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival, along with Garlicious Grind seasonings, dried herbs and spices, dip mixes and more.
