Raw, powerful, provocative, and genre-defying have all been terms used to describe songwriter, musician, and producer Lawrence Rothman’s truly unique sound; a deeply resonant baritone and unflinching songwriter.

With praise over the years from Rolling Stone, Variety, NPR, The Guardian, and more, Lawrence Rothman is a relentlessly driven artist and producer with over two decades of daily studio work shaping a genre-fluid catalog spanning indie rock, country, punk, and jazz.

Their new album, Here Lies Love / Sawdust Into Stardust, was recorded live in seven days at Nashville’s Sound Emporium, and captures a raw immediacy that translates powerfully on stage.

They have built a reputation for emotionally direct, high-impact live performances and will perform solo for this special evening.

🔥 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Thana Alexa Pavelić is a Grammy nominated jazz vocalist, composer, arranger, and producer whose music pushes boundaries from jazz, global and electronic soundscapes.

Alexa uses the full sonic palette of her voice as an arranging tool with every sound beyond each special guest’s instrument…
beatbox and rhythmic layers, bass lines, harmonic beds, ambient textures, even nature-inspired sounds…
created exclusively with her voice to give songs an entirely new identity.

One of Alexa’s most important collaborations has been with her husband, four-time Grammy winning drummer, Antonio Sánchez (composer for the Oscar winning Birdman film and drummer with Pat Metheny for 20 years). Together they have recorded nine albums.

Alexa graduated from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and Eugene Lang College with dual bachelor’s degrees in jazz and contemporary music and psychology, respectively.

🥁During her time at the New School she was mentored by legendary drummer Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, who encouraged her to start composing and arranging for his ensemble.
