🎶 Meet Our Vocal Director! 🎶
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Saundra Bishop as the Vocal Director for The Addams Family Musical at Panola Playhouse!
A long-time resident of Oxford, Saundra Bishop maintains an active collaborative piano schedule largely in the north Mississippi area. For over 20 years, she was on the faculty at Northwest Mississippi Community College. There, in addition to working as collaborative pianist with fine arts students, faculty, and ensembles, she taught piano and music theory courses, directed the pop a ca****la vocal ensemble, and was music director for several musical theatre productions. Prior to her time at Northwest, Saundra taught general music and choir at the elementary and middle school levels. Currently, she serves as music associate/pianist with First Baptist Church in Oxford, co-directs the Coro Rio Oxford Children’s Choir, performs regularly with the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra in Tupelo, and is collaborative pianist for the University of Mississippi choirs. Saundra loves musical theater and the magical, emotional experience that occurs during a great performance, and she is very excited to be working on this show with the talented thespians of the Panola Playhouse!
Saundra brings a wealth of musical knowledge, passion, and experience to our production. Her dedication to helping performers grow in confidence and artistry makes her a wonderful addition to our creative team, and we are thrilled to have her leading the music for this delightfully spooky musical.
