🎨🎶✍️ The 2026 Wyoming State Parks Artist in Residencies Application Window is Now Open!

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, Wyoming State Parks and the Wyoming Arts Council are selecting 18 Wyoming artists for paid residencies in state parks during summer and fall 2026.

Artists will spend four days immersed in a park and share their work through a public program inspired by Wyoming’s official semiquincentennial theme:
• Honoring our past
• Examining our present
• Imagining our future

Details:
• Open to Wyoming residents age 18+
• Emerging & established artists welcome
• Native artists and folk & traditional artists strongly encouraged
• $1,400 stipend + lodging provided
• Residencies run Wednesday–Saturday

The Wyoming Arts Council is accepting applications for Folk & Traditional Arts Mentoring Project Grants, supporting master artists and apprentices working together to pass on traditional art forms through hands-on, in-person instruction.

• Deadline: April 6, 2026
• Award: $5,000 per project
• Project period: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
• Applications must be submitted jointly by the mentor and apprentice

Recent projects have included beadwork, regalia making, rawhide braiding, folklĂłrico, fly rod making, and more.
