We were mesmerized by the grace and talent of Shreya and Nethra as they presented their arangetrams last weekend, both set to the beautiful Karaharapriya varnams — each unique and captivating in its own way.

Shreya’s powerful rendition of Aigiri Nandini stirred the soul and Nethra’s enthralling Kalinga Narthana Thillana kept everyone spellbound.

As we celebrate their wonderful achievements, we now eagerly look forward to the next enchanting performance. Join us on Sunday, August 17th, for Snigdha’s Margam presentation — RamE RAmE ManOramE, a thematic tribute to Lord Rama.

This past weekend, Samyukta graced the stage with a poised and heartfelt Arangetram. A special highlight was the premiere of a newly penned Varnam by Shri Ashok Subramaniam, in praise of Goddess Meenakshi of Madurai. Samyukta brought this composition to life with devotion, clarity, and expressive depth—transforming its very first performance into a moment of lasting beauty.
As the Arangetram season continues, the spotlight now turns to Shreya Atmuri and Nethra Patil, who prepare to share their unique artistic voices in a weekend filled with rhythm, storytelling, and tradition.

325 Arangetrams — A Life Devoted to Dance!

With deep pride and joy, we celebrated an extraordinary milestone on Sunday, July 27 —Guru Vishal Ramani’s 325th Arangetram.
This isn’t just a number—it represents hundreds of journeys nurtured with care, each one the result of years of dedication, discipline, and artistic discovery. A legacy built not just on performances, but on lives shaped through the power of tradition, art, and mentorship.
In a country like the United States, where cultural roots are not inherited but intentionally nurtured, 325 Arangetrams is monumental. Guru Vishal Ramani was a pioneer—the sole storyteller, musician, nattuvanar, and teacher all in one. She taught her students not just movement, but meaning. She introduced them to talam, melody, mythology, and spirit—bringing life through her voice, hands, and heart. Her contributions extend far beyond these 325 Arangetrams. They include innumerable captivating productions — from Shiva Skandam to Shubhagaman, from Legend of Life and Love: The Ramayana to Gita Govindam and Meenakshi Kalyanam, as well as the vibrant margams of her post-arangetram students. Each production, each performance, a testament to her creative vision and mentorship. Through her unwavering commitment and nurturing spirit, she passed on the essence of this sacred art: not just tradition, but transformation. Her legacy lives in every student she has touched — in their posture, presence, and the values they carry far beyond the stage. Guru Vishal Ramani has touched thousands of lives, inspiring generations to honor and celebrate this timeless art. Congratulations, Guru Vishal Ramani, on 325 Arangetrams—an incredible tribute to a life of purpose, passion, and devotion.

Another unforgettable weekend of dance and devotion ✨
We celebrated the Arangetrams of Nia Srinivasan and Samhitha Prabhanjan last weekend, each bringing their own depth, grace, and artistry to the stage.

🌺 Nia’s Varnam on Lord Ranganatha was filled with stories seeped in bhakti—a devotional offering rich in expression and spiritual depth.

🌟 Samhitha’s “Ela Ne Dayarāda” in Āṭanā - a thoughtful presentation of a Bhava-laden composition in a Raga known for its strength and spirit.

This was also a momentous occasion—Guru Vishal Ramani's 325th Arangetram, a legacy built with love, discipline, and generations of dedicated students.

Congratulations, Nia and Samhitha, and heartfelt gratitude to our guru for continuing to light the path with such unwavering passion.

Now, we look ahead with excitement to Samyukta’s Arangetram on Sunday, August 3—another chapter in this beautiful season of dance. We can’t wait to see her take the stage and share her unique journey.

🌟 Celebrating Youth, Art, and Service! 🌟

We are thrilled to share that two of our senior students, Dhiya Padmanabhan and Anithra Shradha Narayanan, were recently featured in India West and on the front page of Los Gatan newspaper for their inspiring Bharatanatyam fundraiser recital, “IroLi – Twin Radiance”.

Anchored by the wisdom and discipline of their guru Smt. Vishal Ramani, the girls raised over $8,000 to support sight-restoring cataract surgeries through the Sankara Eye Foundation. Their performance combined classical dance, live music with artists from India, and the power of service — showing how art can truly bring light into people’s lives.

This recognition is a testament not only to their dedication, but also to the values Shri Krupa has upheld for nearly five decades: that dance is not only an expression of beauty, but also a force for good.

Last weekend brought us a double treat of grace and energy!

On Saturday, Adithi Dileep delivered a power-packed performance—her stamina and energy radiated through the entire recital, captivating the audience from start to finish.

On Sunday, sisters Ananti and Aaloka delivered a gracefully choreographed recital, brought to life by a rich live orchestra. Their pieces on Lord Krishna were deeply expressive, with Aaloka’s Holi celebration bursting with color and joy, and Ananti’s Ranjani Mala offering a serene, meditative close.

All eyes turn toward the stage this weekend as Vibha takes her place in the spotlight. With elegance, precision, and radiance, she brings years of training and devotion to life through every movement. It promises to be an evening of grace, depth, and celebration.
