Artist Opportunity- submissions open now!
About the Project:
The Garage Gallery is a new public art initiative from the City of Saratoga Springs, in partnership with the Saratoga Springs Arts Commission. The project reimagines public infrastructure as a welcoming space for creativity, connection, and community. Featuring artwork by local artists and Saratoga Springs High School students, the Garage Gallery will replace outdated advertising panels and give residents and visitors a new way to experience public art. Selected artists will each receive a stipend.
The Gallery Space The Overhead Gallery will feature a series of original mural panels suspended from the overhead cross-beams of the garage’s lower parking level. In this first year, up to 14 local artists will be selected through a public call for submissions.
Each selected artist will create an original work on a standardized aluminum composite panel provided by the City. Together, the individual works will create a cohesive gallery experience while giving each artist the freedom to bring their own creative vision
to the space. Installation is anticipated for spring 2027.

Thank you to our Saratoga customers and visitors for a fun and festive summer! Our Friday Art Markets took place on the most beautiful evenings and our thanks to Griffin at Griffin for organizing the artists and musicians each month with grace and style. We also are very appreciative of generous grant funds from Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs and Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation. It’s truly a team effort between the Beekman studios and galleries who host and our visiting artists who show up with new work every month- let’s hear it for playing so well together! Please continue to support our shops and galleries this fall and be sure to check out the progress of our new mural by 🦋 and our newest gallery Art For Souls at 70 Beekman. Here’s to a busy and enjoyable fall season- hope to see you soon! Around Saratoga Discover Saratoga NY Saratoga County Chamber

Saratoga Springs Arts District Inc. (SSADI) invites you to participate in Art for Good, a fundraiser to support several nonprofits in our community.

Please donate art works. Seconds or older works that you don’t want to sell are great! They will be sold for whatever people offer. Proceeds will be given to Franklin Community Center, The Frederick Allen Elks Lodge and SSADI. The event will take place on October 24, 2026 at the Elks Lodge, located at 69 Beekman Street, Saratoga Springs.

Please drop off art works at the Cottage of Art and Design, 73 Beekman Street, Saratoga Springs on Friday, October 23, 11am-5pm. You may take back unsold work right after the event. All remaining work will be the property of SSADI for future events.

For more info or to participate, text Nancy at 518-393-5011 or email [email protected]

Thank you!
