Dear SCT Family,
“Sometimes people leave you halfway through the wood, do not let it grieve you, no one leaves for good.” — Into the Woods
It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Ruth Pouliot.
Ruth was the true “grandmother,” treasurer, and fiercest supporter of the Saratoga Children’s Theatre. She wasn’t just a part of our organization. She was our heart and our champion.
Ruth kept our doors open and did it all so quietly and lovingly, never looking for the spotlight but always ensuring our performers could shine. She impacted so many lives and leaves an undeniable mark on our entire community.
In the theater, we always talk about the legacy we leave behind when the curtains fall. As we remember Ruth’s incredible impact on all of us, we are reminded of the words from Hamilton: “Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?”
Ruth’s story will live on through every single child who steps onto our stage, every standing ovation, and the enduring warmth she brought to our theater family. She may have stepped off the main stage, but her spirit and love remain always a part of SCT. She will always be our angel watching from the wings.
For anyone who would like to come together, remember Ruth, and support one another, we will be opening the doors to SCT this Wednesday, 9/23, from 5:00-7:00pm.
We invite you to stop by to share a memory or write a note of love for Ruth. We will be collecting these messages to display at her upcoming services.
We will share her obituary and further details regarding her memorial services as soon as they are finalized.
With all our love,
The Saratoga Children’s Theatre
