The Sarasota Players Entertaining, educating and engaging the community through high quality, live theatre since 1929

OUR VISION
The Players Centre for Performing Arts is Sarasota’s community theatre, dedicated to delivering quality productions and keeping the community engaged with the arts. The Players seeks to provide an artistic outlet for locals and visitors alike to experience live theatre and live theatre training. The Players is a non-professional community theatre, located on the “Cultural Coast.” This l

ocation gives us an incredible talent pool to work with. From our Artistic Director to our stagehands, half of the volunteers working on a production have at one time been professionally paid performers. Many professional performers retire and are drawn to the area thanks to all of Sarasota’s arts offerings. These professionals bring their experience, training, families and often their extensive resumes with them to our stage. OUR MISSION
Entertain, educate, and engage the community through high-quality live theatre. OUR VALUES
Creating Community, Artistic Excellence, Inclusivity, Integrity

Amanda turns 10 today! ❤️🔥🍓

Help us congratulate our incredible Director of Marketing & PR as she celebrates a decade with The Sarasota Players. Amanda goes far beyond her job description- she directs, choreographs, teaches, volunteers, serves as dance captain, mentors others, and leads with empathy, care, and passion.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without Amanda’s wisdom, attention to detail, and genuine love for the arts. If you know her, you know how deeply she loves The Players and everyone who comes through its doors.

YAY AMANDA! WE LOVE YOU! 🎂🍾

Mel Brooks’ THE PRODUCERS 🎟️
(First show in Payne Park Auditorium!)

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST 🫖
February 6-28, 2027
The Importance of Being Earnest is Oscar Wilde's famous farcical comedy, first performed in 1895, that satirizes Victorian society through its witty dialogue and plot about two men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, who invent fictitious identities (like the name "Ernest") to escape social obligations and pursue romance, leading to humorous complications involving love, marriage, and identity.
