Two icons. Two extraordinary legacies. One very sad week for the arts.

Dolly Parton and Tim Curry are two artists whose work, individuality, and unapologetic celebration of being exactly who you are touched many generations of people, particularly the LGBTQ+ community.

From Dolly’s radical kindness, generosity, and outspoken, unwavering support to Tim Curry’s unforgettable, boundary-breaking Dr. Frank-N-Furter, both reminded us of something we believe deeply at Urbanite: art has the power to make people feel seen, welcomed, and free to be themselves. 🏳️‍🌈
