The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch Announces - Performance Pickleball: A Four-Week Advanced Training Series
LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch is introducing Performance Pickleball, a four-week fitness and drill series for competitive 4.0+ and 4.5–5.0+ players seeking focused coaching, tournament preparation and a stronger doubles game. The series begins December 1, 2026, for Tuesday groups and December 3, 2026, for Thursday groups.
Each 90-minute session combines high-level drilling, live play with the coach, and pickleball-focused cardio and fitness. Groups are limited to four players, providing a 1:4 coach-to-player ratio and personal feedback throughout the series.
Training will focus on:
Tournament preparation: Practice under pressure and build more consistent competitive habits.
Doubles strategy: Improve partner positioning, communication and court coverage.
Court percentages and shot selection: Understand angles, available space and when to attack, reset or stay patient.
Defense: Develop blocks, resets and movement that help turn defense into opportunity.
Kitchen play and hands: Sharpen dinking, counters, volleys and reactions during fast exchanges.
Fitness and footwork: Build court movement, conditioning and readiness for demanding points.
The series is coached by Matt Lund, CEO of The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch, Owner & Coach of the Sarasota Manatees Pro Team, Certified DUPR Masters Coach & Instructor, and PCI Certified Instructor.
No sessions will be held Tuesday, December 22, or Thursday, December 24. Players register for one group and attend that group’s four sessions.
Cost: $300 per person for four 90-minute sessions—six total hours of training.
Capacity: Maximum four players per group.
Location: The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch.
This program is designed for advanced players and is not suitable for novice or intermediate players.
Players interested in sharpening their tournament game, improving doubles decisions or working toward their next level should contact the club to select a group and register.
