As part of efforts by the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation (SAHP) to preserve the Blackburn Point Swing Bridge from demolition, artists and preservation advocates will gather at the bridge on Monday, May 18, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a Plein Air “Art in Action” event. This initiative aims to raise public support to preserve this historic landmark ahead of the final Sarasota County public meeting on June 11.
