And there was a crowd, and in it, everyone was murmuring.
Their voices muddled together into a cacophony.
If one were to walk amongst the crowd, one would see they all had different voices, and each said something different, but from afar, she could only conclude that the voices she heard stood for them all.
And so it became, in whatever way she turned her ear, she thought she’d found truth, and that “truth” was all she could hear.
But in time, she learned to focus on the voices that brought life, and healing, and to turn her focus away from those who spoke only destruction.
And this strength then gave her the next epiphany, and ultimately, she learned, the only voice that mattered, in the end, was her own.
