Burns Square is a mixed use area, predominately commercial, located in the U.S. The shops are locally owned with many restaurants, spas, antique stores, and an independent film movie theater. Walking distance to the Bayfront and other downtown performing and movie theaters and supermarkets. The district is the southern entrance into the highest density city core. The district runs from Ringling Bo
ulevard to Mound Avenue along South Pineapple and South Orange Avenues. Burns Square is bound by Historic Laurel Park that is on the National Register of Historic Neighborhoods to the east, Palm Avenue residential neighborhood to the west, and Hudson Bayou to the south.
