✨Intern Spotlight ✨
Say hello to Fatima, our summer intern from the .philanthropy! Thanks to the support from The Patterson Foundation, we look forward to utilizing Fatima's skills to help support us in our Come Together Choir Initiative 🎶
"My name is Fatima Qasemi, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in education, and a second master’s degree in philanthropic studies from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. I will soon begin a Ph.D. program in Texas, where I plan to further explore the intersection of education, philanthropy, and social impact.
My academic and professional experiences have centered on nonprofit work, community engagement, and educational access. I have worked with nonprofit organizations on outreach initiatives, data collection, and report preparation to help expand organizational impact and reach broader audiences. I am especially passionate about advancing opportunities for women and girls through education and advocacy.
I am also the founder of HerEducation, an initiative dedicated to supporting students from Afghanistan by helping them prepare and take English language proficiency tests to identify scholarship opportunities and continue their educational journeys despite barriers to access.
Currently, I serve as the marketing and communications intern at Key Chorale. I am excited to contribute to the organization’s mission through strategic communication, community engagement, and storytelling, while also learning from a team committed to creating meaningful impact through the arts."
