"Gardenia's Luminescence"

This was a product of Mother's Day. Having grown up children now, I decided that painting would be the best way to spend it.

These gardenias were from a bush in my garden. There was an explosion of blossoms, which prompted me to collect some in a mason jar and place them on my dining table. Smelled incredible!

It made me ponder the beauty and meaning of white flowers. They reminded me of motherhood. The purity of a mother's love and the everlasting impression it can create. I had lost my mother years ago and thought about the wonderful times we had.

Overall, I hope that this piece infers the power of remembrance. The purity of times gone by in our memories and how we can capture them again at the drop of a thought, when we allow ourselves to.

Gold Candies

A radiant explosion of movement and color, this abstract piece feels both playful and hypnotic. Metallic gold flows through the canvas like liquid sunlight, weaving between vivid shades of hot pink, coral, lavender, and blush. The layered curved shapes ripple outward in organic patterns, almost resembling petals, waves, or topographic lines in motion.

Tide

This piece feels like the exact moment the ocean decides to rise up and speak.

Across three panels, a wave surges diagonally, building from a quiet, open stillness into a powerful, crashing release. The left side breathes with negative space, calm, almost untouched, before the movement pulls you in. By the center, the energy peaks: foamy whites burst forward, laced with intricate cells and textures that feel alive, like sea spray suspended midair. Then it stretches into the right panel, where the motion softens into flowing tides of deep blue, turquoise, and sandy neutrals, echoing the aftermath of something both chaotic and beautiful.

It?s not just water, it's momentum, contrast, and emotion. Calm versus force. Control versus surrender. The kind of piece that doesn't sit quietly on a wall, it pulls you into it, like you can almost hear the crash and feel the mist.

Between Tides and Thoughts

Life has a way of filling every corner with noise and motion, and this painting was my attempt to carve out a moment of stillness. I imagined stepping away from everything at the end of the day and finding myself at the shoreline as the sky dissolves into color. The solitary figure lingers in that quiet pause, suspended between what was and what comes next, a place we often find when we need a little space.
