The two constants at our studio seems to be us adding tools to the toolbox and us forgetting to post about it.

To kick off our annual catchup we introduce our newest mic, the ELA M 251! Audio professionals love to have hot takes and sharp opinions but you’d be hard pressed to find an engineer that has anything negative to say about this mic. After only a short time using this mic we can see and hear why.

We recently made a pretty monumental change to the studio by installing a 5088 in the control room! We were constantly impressed by the results of our Shelford channel, so it only made sense to look to the 5088 when the time came. We’ve done a handful of recordings on it so far and it has delivered all we hoped and more. Looking forward to hearing all the art this will capture over the upcoming years!

We were lucky enough to do a rehearsal for some amazing musicians and people this week before they hit the road, and threw together a tracking session for promo stuff for them on the fly! If you’re free, they’re playing janus!
