Playing around with air dry clay bowls in different shapes today! Being an artist pushes you to be child- like in play and work with endless creativity and newness! This abstract “Our Flag” from my Liberty Collection founds its forever home while I solo exhibited a few days ago! Layered in deep indigo and strokes of ice blue this piece is about emotion, freedom, unity and strength in subtlety. I love to reimagine familiar symbols through abstraction- allowing color to enliven the spirit behind the original. As we honor our 250th anniversary this July, we reflect on our country and all those who have sacrificed. To the collector- thank you for feeling it and giving it a new space! “My Favorite Thing About The Ocean” interactive board that I made for during my Artist Residency (2/24-3/2) has been super fun! Stop in before it’s gone. Many interesting things people shared. Without the ocean, we have NO life. We need it to thrive for those who come after us, Someone wrote “It’s vastness reminds me of how small my worries are.” “Mystery” is one I also find thought provoking. An entire world is beneath the water with so much vibrant sealife, all hunting for food and existing together Last night Sunday 3/1 4-8pm to see my curated “Blue Ocean Exhibit” and to find a space to include your favorite thing. A Big Thank You to for allowing artists to curate their own art exhibits, done on a rotating weekly basis. My Blue Ocean Exhibition hosted a reception last night! Kudos to who orchestrates the artists and makes it all happen. I have met and connected with some lovely people, SOLD artworks and received beautiful compliments about my blue ocean abstract art!

This beauty titled “Storm Sitting on The Sea” SOLD and will be given as a gift. How wonderful to give a gift of something meaningful, made thoughtfully by hand. This piece symbolizes when the storm passes the waters become calm again. The ocean carries powerful messages when we listen. Art and life connect like magic! Shells have always fascinated me! To think about the many marine animals that have spent their lives in these beautiful homes. The perfect symmetry and pattern found in nature’s shells are mesmerizing. I can spend hours walking the beach in search of these gifts, each one more special than the next. Being an ocean abstract artist in awe of the ocean- shells are very interesting to me. I love to paint them on my canvas and when I was a textile designer in the NYC fashion industry they were a staple to design in a classic print .

I will be adding a unique new class using shells to creating beautiful accessories for your home. This post shows a few I have made. Details coming soon. “Gift From The Sea” book published in 1955 is a favorite of mine given as a gift from my Dad. This special book is a must and has symbolism for shells and life- beautiful!

I hosted my “UP-Cycled Ocean Art Class” last night mercantile for all things Italy! A big thank you to their team for putting out an incredible spread of homemade Italian appetizers and deserts along with the finest Italian wine tastings. You are family once you enter their door. We had fun making artisanal containers out of PLASTIC while dining in an Italian piazza setting while creating community. Being an ocean abstract artist, I am passionate about the ocean and getting plastic out of it. Our group learned that by 2050 ocean plastic will outweigh all the fish in the ocean. We did something about it! Special thank you to .aims for being a fellow ocean advocate as I am and allowed us to collaborate and put this together! Look up Mazzone’s events and go! Shop for their pure Italian olive oil with all those polyphenols! My students are signed up for my next class! The ocean and protecting it is my passion!
