CALLING ALL ARTISTS!! Applications are now open for our 2027 Gallery Artists!

Looking for a place to display your art and be a part of a vibrant artist community? Creative Liberties is one of the few places that offers this opportunity to artists in Sarasota. Pay a low monthly fee, change out your art every 2 months, pay only a 20% commission on sales, interact with other local artists and have a “home base” you can send potential buyers to view and purchase your art. We also host various events, including CL group shows at places like Art Ovation Hotel.

This is a “choose your own adventure” opportunity and a great way to get yourself and your art out there!

FAMILY ART DAY THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 22!!!
Join us for this FREE, hands-on art making experience that welcomes all ages for a morning of intergenerational creativity!

Projects are geared to all skill levels and all ages. Materials are provided. Family Art Day is a free, hands-on art making adventure for the entire family led this month by local artist and Creative Liberties co-founder, Barbara Gerdeman Barbara Gerdeman 😊 This event is made possible by generous support from the Johnson Singer Arts and Education Fund. Family Art Day takes place at our 927 N Lime Avenue location. No RSVP required, but we suggest arriving by 11 am to have time to complete the project.

We just want to celebrate…OUR amazing Creative Liberties artists!! So we’ll be hosting “CREATIVE CONNECTIONS” at Creative Liberties at ARCOS, 340 Central Ave, Sarasota for September and October!

It will be a fantastic group exhibition and the artists will be in the space working on a rotating schedule, so be sure to pop in and check it out! And mark your calendar for the Opening Reception scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th, 5-7pm 🥳🤗🥳

Art 4 Change is excited to announce the 4th Annual “A Better World Through Art” Poster Contest!

We’re inviting Sarasota and Manatee County students in grades 6–12 to use their creativity to show us their vision of a better world. What positive change do you wish to see? Your artwork can explore a challenge, a hope, a connection, or something meaningful to you. There’s no single right answer—just make it thoughtful, original, and true to you. 🎨

CALL TO ARTISTS!!! Submissions now open for our “BUY ME! A Show of Wondrous Art” exhibition. This is a playful exhibition that challenges artists to think outside the box and put their best work in a small package! Artists are encouraged to create pieces that seem to burst beyond their confines and take on a life of their own, with prices that make them appealing for holiday gift giving.

Artists can submit up to 5 pieces, with a size limit of 20”x20” each. This is a non-juried show, so all work will be accepted as long as it’s not hateful, political or pornographic.

Submissions can also be made in-person on art intake day (Tuesday, November 3) and show will run November 6 through December 18 with an Opening Reception on Friday, November 6 from 5-7pm at both our 901B Apricot Ave and 927 N Lime Ave locations!!

Good morning! Apparently the storm this morning knocked our power out at the 901B Apricot Ave and 927 N Lime Ave locations - FPL first said it would be back up at 9:45am and now they’re saying 4:10pm…😵‍💫 so it looks like those locations will be closed today. Stay tuned for updates!!
