What a great idea for theater lovers with kids. Bravo!

We're excited to introduce a new program this season - PlayDate!

PlayDates are production-based workshops for young people that offer a childcare option for adults who want to see our mainstage shows. Workshops incorporate age-appropriate themes found in the shows onstage, inviting families to connect about the art they experience.

PlayDate is for ages 5-12 and is available during select Saturday matinees. Each workshop is $25 and can be purchased while buying tickets to a show.

We are looking for volunteers for the following:

Receiving Art Work for the upcoming "Here Comes the Sun" Exhibition:
FRIDAY, JULY 16TH - This receiving will be a little different than our usual receivings, as all of the work coming in has already been accepted by the juror. Volunteers will check-in the art work, inspect it, place labels with info on the pieces, take the work to a gallery and be in the galleries to help organize the art work under the direction of Andrew Long, our Exhibitions Coordinator. 10a - 2p or 2p - 6p shifts are available.

Front Desk Help:
We are looking for volunteers to work our Front Desk on Thursdays and Fridays on a regular basis. We'd like this volunteer(s) to come in within the next couple of weeks for training with our current Thursday and Friday volunteer and then be able to start as of August 12th. Duties for the front desk include answering phones, greeting guests and helping with various paperwork jobs. Ideally we'd love someone who's had previous experience with this sort of work, but it's not required. We can certainly have multiple volunteers that rotate weeks, but we need ones that are willing to make a commitment as this is a very important role here at the Art Center. This could also possibly lead to part-time employment at the Art Center.
