Saranac Lake Skateboard Park This 5200 square foot all concrete SkatePark is the best in northern New York. It has both Street & Flow features.

We have lights for night skating so the park is open dawn to 9:30PM, Sunday to Friday, Saturday until 11:30PM The Grand Opening Celebration of the new Saranac Lake SkatePark was held on Sunday, July 26. The highlight of the day’s events was be a skateboarding demonstration by designer Brad Siedlecki of Arizona and great skaters from the Artisan SkatePark construction crew. World class SkatePark de

signer Brad Siedlecki has a strong connection to the Adirondacks, with family ties to Star Lake and annual camping vacations on Cranberry Lake. Brad has a special fondness for the Saranac Lake SkatePark and this is the first time his whole crew will return for a Grand Opening. The Saranac Lake SkatePark‘s hubba ledge has a unique transition feature and Brad now refers to the design as the “Saranac.”

Located in Saranac Lake’s Midtown Lot at 155 Church St., the 5,200sq.ft all-concrete SkatePark is a state of the art facility. It has transformed a dismal parking lot into an oasis of function and beauty in the heart of the Village. Opened for skating on July 17, skaters call the Saranac Lake SkatePark a “sweet park”, the best designed park they have skated and a delight for skateboarders of all ages and skill levels. Local skaters are skating this park with great comradery and respect for one another and the many visitors that stop by. The park is already a draw to Tri-Lakes residents and tourists, including folks from Virginia, Connecticut, Texas and Ottawa. The SkatePark is the culmination of an 11 year effort by the Saranac Lake SkatePark Committee. This has been a great community project with many skateboarder involved fundraisers, regional foundation grants, generous individual donors and contributions from over 110 local businesses. This local support and grassroots effort helped the SkatePark receive the top Tony Hawk Foundation Grant Award in August 2013 for $25,000. The Village of Saranac Lake provided the extensive initial site preparation and the Village now owns the best SkatePark in the North Country. The whole town is very excited and eager to share their jewel of a SkatePark with the entire North Country.
