By the iconic Dominic M, one of the world's most sought-after sires and renowned for consistently producing balance and exquisite type, Jia is among a select group of his progeny, with access to Dominic M limited to outside mares each year.

Her dam, the ethereal Om El Justadorable, is one of Om El Arab's treasured show mares and broodmares. A daughter of WH Justice, Justadorable has that rare presence that is difficult to capture in photographs and unforgettable in person.

A Study in Pedigrees

Do you know which mare appears on both sides of Al Noor Miralena's (and Mahira and Mahib's) pedigree in the closest position?

Om El Beneera.

This mare was one of Om El Arab's most potent and consistent "Producer of Producers." By Sharem El Sheikh and out of the foundation mare, *Estopa, Om El Beneera – like El Shaklan – represented the Spanish/Egyptian Golden Cross. As fate would have it, she was her famous mother's final foal, a "little miracle filly" born when Estopa was 27 years old... Estopa had not had a foal in three years. Actually, Estopa had shut down reproductively for the previous three seasons until, one sunny summer day, she met the handsome unanimous Scottsdale Champion Stallion, *Sharem El Sheikh (El Shaklan x Samanna). He was walking on the road by Estopa’s pasture and it was love at first sight. At Om El Arab, the story has it that Sharem El Sheikh reminded Estopa of the love of her life, another chestnut stallion and the sire of *El Shaklan, Shaker El Masri (Morafic x Zebeda), who had passed away almost 20 years before. After a reproductive exam, it was confirmed that *Estopa was cycling and she was bred to Sharem El Sheikh. Miraculously, the 26 year-old mare conceived and carried the foal to term.
