Santa Rosa Symphony Institute for Music Education General music education resources are also provided to educators to support public schools both with and without formal music programs.

Learn more at https://www.srsymphony.org/education-community/ The Santa Rosa Symphony has been widely recognized for having one of the most comprehensive music education programs in California, serving students, educators and families. There is a long history of

providing outstanding music education programs, beginning over 50 years ago with the Junior Symphony, which is now known as the Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra. The Youth Orchestra had had the honor of performing in great concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and Davies Hall, and on tours abroad to Germany, Czech Republic, China, Austria, Hungary, and Spain. Students may attend one of the Free Concerts for Youth, experience and in-school performance or learn from curriculum and lesson plans provided by the Symphony to teachers to incorporate music into their regular classroom activities. Despite ever increasing costs, the Symphony’s commitment to education remains unwavering, with programs designed to foster a love of music and a lifetime involvement with the musical arts.

Another stellar season with our advanced chamber strings ensemble wrapped up with a family potluck 🍝 and the traditional awards ceremony (President of Viola Island, YPCO Bus Driver, Secret Weapon, and all your favorites), led by our fearless leader Aaron Westman 🎻

It was also a double celebration for the WINNERS of this year's Practice-a-Thon 🏆

We can't wait till YPCO's next season in the fall!
