Justin Gaffrey’s CRAB 1939 has been installed for the Fifth Biennial Rosemary Beach Sculpture Exhibition (RBSE).
Tonight we celebrate with the artists, donors and patrons who make this exhibition possible. Thank you to the RBSE committee for including Justin among this year’s sculptors.
The exhibition opens to the public Saturday, October 17, and runs through October 2027.

While Justin Gaffrey Gallery may be known best for his unique sculptural painting style and creation of his heavy texture paint and materials company Gaffrey Art Material - he is a creative visionary with never ending ideas to explore. Welding has been something he comes back to throughout his creative explorations, and Crab 1939 is Justin’s largest metal sculpture to date. Inspired by Alexander Calder, its welded plates of quarter-inch Corten steel hold the biomorphic shapes of nature in balance, with openings where light and air pass through.
